The Cambridge Challenge offers specific opportunities for youth serving agencies, and the young people they work with, to be connected to a broad array of talent, expertise and resources in diverse business sectors. It will also give youth organizations the opportunity to be part of a Cambridge-wide community youth development effort. This approach offers youth organizations a compelling alternative to existing strategies that tend to promote fragmentation, single service delivery, and isolated approaches to working with young people. The burgeoning field of Community Youth Development ("CYD") and its growing knowledge base and research can inform and influence new approaches of working with young people in Cambridge.
